ATEX flashlight NightSearcher Sigma PL Penlight, 67 lm

The Nightsearcher EX-PL67 Penlight is a high quality, light and compact Atex flashlight. Perfect to store in the breast pocket for an installer who works in, for example, EX rooms. Despite its low weight of only 41 grams, it delivers a luminous flux of a whopping 67 lumens! The light performance of the flashlight is surprisingly good for an EX luminaire of this size and thanks to an incredibly well-combined light pattern, the performance is increased another step. The lamp is powered by 2 AAA batteries and is IP67 rated, which means that it can be used in damp environments without problems. In addition, it has a pressure relief valve and robust design, which means it can withstand drops from a height of 1 meter.

The EX-PL67 has undergone many tests and received several protection classifications: EX, M1, Exia, Ma & Exia IIC T5 Ga. It is thus protected against both gases and methane dust in e.g. mines.

Installation of batteries

Start by unscrewing the Allen screw near the lamp head on the lamp body to remove the lamp head. Then remove the lamp head, but be careful not to touch the heatsink as it may be hot. Insert the batteries into the lamp according to the instructions on the inside of the battery housing. Screw the lamp head back and make sure that the screw holes and thread have no damage in the form of wear. Lock the lamp head in place by tightening the screw. The unit has a light mode and the power switch is located at the bottom piece.
