Bicycle lamp Olight RN 400, 400 lm

Olight RN 400 is a compact bicycle light with a brightness of 400 lm, specially designed for general use. The light comes with brackets to attach the light to a helmet, handlebars or GoPro mounts. Also, the RN 400 uses the same mounting mechanism as Garmin's GPS etc, so there are plenty of mounting options! The light pattern of the RN 400 is designed so that it does not dazzle oncoming cyclists or people: the upper edge of the beam is cut off so that the light can be directed straight ahead without dazzling. In addition to its elegant appearance, the lamp has been designed with the cyclist's safety in mind. The RN 400's reflector wraps and extends around the lamp's fixture so the light is also visible on the sides of the lamp, improving cyclists' visibility. At maximum power, the RN 400 has a range of 89 metres. The lamp has five different light modes to choose from, three fixed and two flashing. In addition to the bicycle light, the RN 400 can also be used as a power bank, for example to charge a mobile phone from the same USB-C port as it is charged from.

The bike light is powered by a 900 mAh 21700 battery that has a burning time of 100 minutes at full power. The battery is pre-charged with a USB-C cable, and the battery level indicator on the power button shows how much power is left in the battery. With bracket and battery, the lamp weighs 85 g. The RN 400's luminaire is waterproof according to protection class IPX7.

Instructions for use

Mounting

• Attach the bicycle light to the handlebars using the supplied silicone attachment of suitable length.

Quick guide

• Press and hold the power switch for approx. 1 second to turn the light on and off. The latest power mode is automatically switched on when the lamp is switched on.
• When the lamp is on, press the power switch once to change the lamp's power mode. For each press, the power modes change in the order low-medium-high-low etc.
• Double-clicking the power switch switches the light mode to the strobe function, which can be toggled between the two different options by clicking the power switch once.
• The battery charge status can be checked by clicking the power switch when the light is off. The light indicates the battery charge as follows: green light (21-100%), red light (11-20%) and flashing red light <10%.
• Button lock: press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds with the light off until the red light flashes. Similarly, to unlock the button lock, press and hold for 5 seconds until the indicator light turns red.
