The Purelux Road Curve C790 is the long-awaited, larger and more powerful version of the Road Curve auxiliary light panel that has made Purelux famous, and its features are the best in its class! In addition to its stylish, dark-toned appearance, the C790's features include a frameless lens, a two-color (white and orange) parking light, and two different power modes. The panel can be switched to either the power mode approved for road traffic, or alternatively the Purelux PowerBoost® mode intended for off-road driving, which harnesses the panel's unlimited light output. In PowerBoost mode, the C790 is capable of producing, according to the manufacturer, a staggering 16,500 lumens of light output and a measured range of well over half a kilometer (1 @ lux)! The light beam, which is strictly limited in the vertical direction and evenly spread laterally, directs the entire light output of the panel to exactly the right place, and no light is lost, for example, in the treetops.

Note! The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly noticeable in use - PowerBoost mode is significantly more efficient and should not be used when driving in normal road traffic, only off-road.

Road Curve C790 is an additional light panel designed specifically for the dark and winding roads of the Nordic countries, and its features have been honed with the long and dark winter in mind. The panel has a strictly vertically limited and evenly distributed light pattern in the lateral direction, which does not emit unnecessary scattered light into the sky or directly onto the ground in front of the car. The C790's precise light beam improves visibility and significantly increases traffic safety even in poor weather conditions, as the light does not target snow drifts from the sky or reflect wet asphalt whipped by rain into the driver's eyes, and it also does not form a dazzling "ball of light" directly in front. This means that the panel can also be installed low, for example under a license plate, making the additional light a neat and unobtrusive part of the whole. High light output combined with a precise light beam provide an impressive measured range of 635 m @ 1 lux, which gives the driver significantly more time to react to events on the road. This panel is suitable for both ordinary road users and professional drivers!

In addition to the precisely directed beam and maximum power, other features of the Road Curve C790 have also been honed with demanding conditions in mind. The panel's 5000K color temperature does not strain the eyes even during long periods of driving, and works better than cool tones in poor weather conditions, such as fog and rain. The neutral color temperature also makes it easier to observe terrain and detect potential obstacles in good time. The curved design of the C790 ensures an evenly distributed light beam, and the panel's reflective surfaces direct plenty of light far ahead. This gives the driver significantly more reaction time, for example, to observe forest animals that suddenly appear on the road, possible frost damage or other unexpected factors.

Choice of orange or white parking light.

The impact-resistant, virtually unbreakable Lexan polycarbonate lens withstands the inevitable impacts of rocks and branches, as well as varying weather conditions. In addition, the front of the light is completely flat, meaning there is no frame around the lens to collect snow, ice or dirt, and this helps the lens stay clean even in bad weather conditions. The panel's finished appearance, carbon fiber details, dark overall structure and optics, and white and orange parking light make it a beautiful addition to any car. The C790 is ideal for vans and SUVs as well as heavy equipment. Thanks to the PowerBoost® mode, the panel is also a great choice for construction site use or Off-Road vehicles.

The light comes with both traditional end feet and width-adjustable rail brackets below the light, so there are almost unlimited mounting options. The included support bars and the 2-pole DTP connector already installed in the light's power cable also make installation easier. The wide operating voltage range (9-30 V) enables installation in both 12V and 24V systems. The light's road-approved power mode can be installed using a separate positive wire from the light's power cable, which allows the connection to be made, for example, behind a separate switch. In this case, the panel's power mode can be switched between road-approved and PowerBoost mode whenever necessary using a switch, for example, from the vehicle's cab. The light's moderate reference number (40) enables installation alongside almost all standard lights without having to remove the original lights from use! In addition, the light is radio interference-protected in accordance with the ECE R10 standard. Two-year (24 month) warranty!

Note! You can buy the complete set above either as is OR you can also buy the XBB OBD Dongle & PowerUnit connection relay (see product options), which allows the additional light to be connected to CAN-bus controlled lights. In short, the connection using this relay is implemented by inserting the control device (OBD Dongle) into the car's OBD-II port and replacing the PowerUnit relay in the included wiring harness with the original relay. The control device inserted into the OBD port captures the high beam signal from the CAN bus and sends the information completely wirelessly to the relay in the wiring harness, which in turn controls the additional light according to this signal.

Installation guide

Coupling

When the panel is connected using the DTP connector, it will light up in PowerBoost mode. The road-approved power mode can be activated by connecting the black wire to ground and the blue wire to power. The red wire must be left unconnected for the limiter to work.
