The Nitecore EDC31 is a highly efficient USB-C rechargeable flashlight that combines compact size, versatile functions and performance that serves both professionals and demanding enthusiasts. The lamp produces a maximum light output of 3500 lm, and is equipped with Nitecore's LUMIN SHIELD™ technology, familiar from other EDC series lamps, which allows for quick activation of full light output and at the same time blindingly bright illumination of the surrounding area, even if the battery is not fully charged. In addition, the lamp has a separate Search function, which activates a narrow search light beam with a range of up to 380 meters for e.g. search tasks. The lamp therefore offers two different light beams that offer extreme performance for all situations. All functions of the lamp can be operated via a tactical tail switch, in addition to which there is also a quick-action slide switch on the side of the lamp, which can be used to set it to key lock or unlock mode. The slide switch that controls the locking allows the lamp to be quickly activated in unexpected situations, saving time on unnecessary fiddling.

The EDC31 is made using the UHi 20 MAX LED (Ultra High Intensity) specially designed for flashlights, whose nine cores enable tremendous performance in a physically small package. Thanks to the multiple cores, changing the light beam from narrow to wide is also possible smoothly, meaning the EDC31 acts as a seamless partner even in fast-paced situations. The lamp's impact-resistant body is made of hard-anodized aluminum, which protects the lamp from all external stresses. In addition, it is completely waterproof and dustproof according to the IP68 rating, and can withstand immersion up to 2 meters if necessary. Although the lamp is small in size, the textured grip surface of the body ensures a firm grip even with gloves on. A wrist strap is also included, which can be used to ensure that the lamp does not fall out of your hand under any circumstances.

The lamp is powered by a built-in 3800 mAh li-ion battery, which offers continuous operation time in High power mode for four hours at a time, and in the lowest moonlight mode for up to 57 hours. There are four indicator lights around the tail switch of the lamp that indicate the battery charge, keeping the user always up to date on the battery status. When the battery runs out, the lamp can be easily charged from the USB-C charging port on the body with the included charging cable. Two-year (24 months) warranty!

Quick guide

On/Off: Press the tail switch once to turn the light on or off. The light will turn on in the last power mode used (excluding Lumin Shield and Search).

Changing Power Mode: While the light is on, press the tail switch halfway to change power mode. The modes cycle in the following order: Ultralow -> Low -> Mid -> High. Lumin Shield and Search are not included in this cycle.

Narrow (Search) Beam: With the light on or off, press the tail switch halfway and hold to activate the narrow search beam. Release the switch to turn off or return to the previously used power mode.

Lumin Shield: With the light on or off, press the tail switch all the way down and hold to activate maximum light output (3500 lm). Release the switch to turn off or return to the previously used power mode.

Key Lock: The light has two different key locks: full lock and half lock. When the light is on, hold down the tail switch and slide the key lock switch up to activate half lock. In half lock mode, the Search and Lumin Shield functions can be used normally. To activate full lock, slide the switch up normally. In this case, all functions of the light are disabled. To unlock the key lock, slide the switch down.

Charging: Rotate the cover around the lens to reveal the USB-C charging port. Connect one end of the charging cable to the light and the other end to a USB port on your computer, power bank, or AC adapter. The battery charge indicator lights indicate the battery charge as follows:

• 1 light: 0-25% battery remaining
• 2 lights: 25-50% battery remaining
• 3 lights: 50-75% battery remaining
• 4 lights: 75-100% battery remaining
