The flashlight has a built-in OLED display that shows information such as e.g. battery level, power consumption and power status in real time. With its simple design with two separate buttons, a power switch and one for power modes. Via the power mode button, you also activate the turbo mode regardless of whether the lamp is on or off, which means that you always have the highest light output just a quick click away. With its five different power modes, the T4K covers all needs! By pressing the power mode button, the lamp changes power mode for each press in the order Ultralow - Low - Med - High.

Nitecore T4K is equipped with two lockout functions, Half Lockout Mode (Lockout 1) and Full Lockout Mode (Lockout 2) that improve battery life and performance. (Lockout 1) limits the power modes of the lamp as only the Turbo mode can be activated by holding down the power switch. (Lockout 2) is especially useful during transport as it prevents the flashlight from being turned on accidentally.

In addition to its blocking function modes, it also has two different operating modes, Demo and Daily Mode. The demo mode provides short-term lighting as the lamp only lights up for thirty seconds, then it switches off automatically unless, for example, the power mode is changed (the OLED display shows the remaining time). In Daily Mode, the lamp does not turn off automatically, but must be turned off via the power switch. The default mode for T4K is Demo Mode. To change mode, hold down both buttons on the lamp for a short while.

The Nitecore T4K is powered by a built-in 1000 mAh Li-ion battery that is quickly charged with the included USB-C cable. The battery is charged from 0-100 in only 1.5 h. The charging port is located on the back of the flashlight. According to the manufacturer, the operating time is 67 h (Ultralow power mode). The flashlight has several different smart protection functions built in, such as temperature control that protects the lamp's internal parts against heat and thus extends the lamp's lifespan.
