Headlamp Nitecore HC68, 2000 lm

The Nitecore HC68 is a really powerful headlamp for hobby and professional use with separate wide and narrow light beams. When both LEDs are lit at the same time, according to the manufacturer, the lamp emits a full 2000 lm light flux, and when they are used separately, the narrower beam produces 1800 lm and the wide one 1400 lm. In addition to white light, the HC68 has a red LED that preserves night vision, which is a desirable feature for e.g. night photography, map reading or other similar activities. At full power, the lantern shines a full 202 meters. Like all other Nitecore lights, the HC68 is fully waterproof (IP68) and shockproof (2m drop). The headlamp is powered by an 18650 battery (or alternatively two CR123A batteries), which means that at 950 lm it has a burning time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Charging takes place with a USB-C cable via a waterproof, hidden charging port.

Despite the many lighting functions, the HC68 is easy to use, as it is turned on and off with a single switch, and the lamp always lights up in the last used position. In total, the headlamp has 5 modes with wide and narrow beam, 3 modes for red LED, beacon and SOS functions and turbo mode.

WARNING! The luminous flux of the lamp is very high. Although the lamp has an automatic temperature monitor that reduces the light output if the lamp is in danger of overheating, the light energy leaving the lamp can heat materials that are too close to the lens to extremely high temperatures. It is therefore important to follow these safety instructions very carefully:

1. Do not leave the lamp on with any object 5 cm or closer in front of the lens!
2. Unscrew the bottom piece half a turn to prevent the lamp from accidentally turning on in e.g. your pocket or bag.
3. A bright and efficient lamp like this is absolutely not a toy - Do not let the lamp be used by a child without strict supervision.

Quick guide

Insert the battery inside the lamp with the positive pole facing up and screw the base piece.

On/Off : The lantern is turned on and off by briefly pressing the switch on the end of the lamp. The lamp lights up in the same position as last used.

Changing light mode: There are + and - switches on the top of the lamp, which increase the light flow by pressing plus and decrease with minus.

Choice of narrow and wide beam: The choice between wide and narrow beam is made by pressing the plus or minus button at the bottom when the light is on. Holding down the plus button increases the narrow beam ratio until the lamp uses only the narrow beam. Similarly, when the minus switch is held down, the proportion of the wide beam is increased until the lamp uses only the wide beam. Release the switch when the desired beam is reached.

Turbo: Turbo mode can be activated by briefly pressing the power switch (with the light on or off). The lamp returns to the last used mode after 60 seconds.

Special modes: Red LED lights up in LOW mode when the power switch is double-clicked with the lamp off. The lantern then changes mode by briefly pressing the plus button in the following order: red LED-HIGH - red LED flash - Beacon, SOS - red LED-LOW, etc. The lantern is turned off with a short press of the power switch.

Charging: Connect the USB cable to a power adapter, computer or other power source and connect the other end to the protected USB-C port on the lamp.
