Olight Osight X is a red dot sight intended for sports shooting, training and professional use, especially for pistol use, but with a separate picatinny foot it can also be attached to longer weapons. The biggest advantage of a red dot sight compared to traditional iron sights is, in addition to speed, that you can keep both eyes open and focused on the target, and when the weapon is brought in front of your eyes, the dot appears precisely on the target, allowing you to aim without changing the focus of your eyes (with iron sights, you should aim your gaze at the front edge). In addition to the red 3 MOA dot, the sight also has a 32 MOA ring, which can be used either together or separately with the dot. The sharp and clear pattern, wide brightness settings, very long operating time and large lens allow you to customize the sight to suit all types of situations. With Osight X, the sight image can be found even in difficult positions much easier than with traditional iron sights.

NOTE! A Picatinny mount is available as an accessory to attach the red dot sight to a standard Picatinny rail.

The Osight X's shock- and water-resistant body is made of OAL™ aluminum alloy, which is more durable, but still almost as light as standard aluminum alloys. The durability and quality of the sight are also evidenced by the stress test of over 10,000 shots, in which the sight's alignment did not change at all. Osight X can therefore withstand heavy use and is a reliable companion for even the most demanding users. The sight is powered by a built-in battery, which allows for lightness and slimness as well as very long firing times: When used with the dot reticle pattern (without the ring) in power mode 3 (the dimmest daytime setting), it can operate for up to a whopping 57,000 hours (6.5 years) on its own, and an impressive 228,000 hours at a time when used with the battery case. With the same dot pattern, at mode 12 (brightest), which is easily enough for full sunlight, the continuous operating time is 329 hours (over 13 days) or 1316 hours (over 54 days) when used with the battery case. At its shortest, the operating time with both dot and ring activated and the brightest possible setting is 188 hours with the protective case, i.e. almost 8 days continuously. Practical burn times are considerably longer, as the brightness reduction significantly extends the operating time (at mode 3, with both dot and ring modes activated, the operating time is 84,000 hours (over 9.5 years).

What makes this red dot sight special is that the protective hood that comes with it also functions as a charging case and power bank. The sight is automatically fully charged whenever the hood is in place. The hood's 800 mAh battery allows the sight to be charged from empty to full 3 times. This, added to the sight's very long operating time, ensures that the battery will never run out, as the case quadruples the firing times. For example, in official use, the protective hood can be put in place after every shift, which means the sight is fully charged during storage. The innovative display on the hood indicates the battery charge of both the charging hood and the sight in real time, meaning the user never has to guess how much power is left.

The red dot sight can be used in two different operating modes:

• Manual: The desired brightness is selected manually, as well as the sight being turned on and off manually
• Automatic: brightness automatically adjusts to ambient light, the scope automatically turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity and wakes up automatically when moved

Quick guide

• On/Off: Turn the scope on by pressing either switch (+ or -) once. Turn the scope off by pressing both switches simultaneously for about 1 second.
• Brightness adjustment: The brightness of the red dot sight is adjusted in manual mode using the + and - keys. In automatic mode, the brightness is adjusted automatically.
• Changing the operating mode: The scope has two different operating modes: Manual mode and Automatic mode. The operating mode is changed by pressing the + switch at the bottom for 3 seconds while the scope is on. The scope will flash once to indicate activation of Manual mode and twice to indicate activation of Automatic mode. Differences between the operating modes:
  
  • Manual: The desired brightness is selected manually
  • Auto: Brightness is automatically adjusted according to the ambient light level
• Reticle pattern selection: Hold down the - button for more than 3 seconds, after which the reticle patterns will change as follows: 3 MOA dot + 32 MOA circle -> 3 MOA dot -> 32 MOA circle. Release the button at the desired pattern.
• Motion Sensor: The motion sensor on the red dot sight can be turned on or off by pressing the minus switch for more than 3 seconds. The dot will flash once to indicate that the motion sensor is on and twice to indicate that it is off. When the sensor is on, the sight will turn itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity and will turn on automatically when the sight moves.
• Battery charge indicator: The red dot sight displays the battery charge on the LED between the switches when either button is pressed as follows:
  • green: over 50%
  • yellow: 20-50%
  • red: 10-20%
  • flashing red: less than 10%
• Charging: The red dot sight charges automatically when the protective case is placed over the red dot sight. The protective case is charged using the included USB-C cable.
