The DX6500 head pushes out an unbelievable 6838 lab-measured lumens, which combined with precision-engineered reflector optics, the slope in front of you is lit up in a way that helmet lights are not used to. The Gopro-compatible, top-quality light head provides a full, long beam that reaches up to 388 metres, allowing you to appreciate the challenges and pitfalls of even the biggest slopes from the top or well in advance of the descent. The diffused light created by the light source opens up to more than 180°, so that there are no dark corners in the field of vision, which can even be dangerous in fast-paced sports.

The DX6500 can be attached to your helmet using the included easy-to-use GoPro mount, which also allows you to change the position of the light at any time. When attached to the helmet, the light beam always follows your gaze, ensuring that light is always available where you need it. The set comes with a highly efficient GoPro-compatible Velcro fastener, which can be rigidly attached to the ski helmet thanks to its curved shape. It also comes with a GoPro stand, which attaches to the Velcro mount with a handy quick-release mechanism without the need for a work harness, meaning the light can be quickly and easily attached and detached from the helmet, even in the middle of use. A sturdy and ergonomic headband is also included, allowing the same lamp to be used as a traditional headlamp!

The set also includes one 50 cm and one 120 cm extension cord, which allows the battery to be placed in a backpack or a pocket of a ski jacket, for example. We've also collected the necessary mounting accessories, so you don't need anything else besides this kit! The Lumonite DX6500 has been designed based on user feedback and manufactured to meet the needs of the most demanding users. The DX6500 produces a very wide beam, yet provides a brighter main beam in the center of the beam that extends up to 388 meters. The beam is wide enough to illuminate the entire field of view in one go, providing a very pleasant experience.

The Lumonite DX6500 luminaire head has been designed to provide maximum continuous output, and hence the maximum cooling power required. This has been achieved by making the entire luminaire one large heat sink with heat sink fins. The luminaire body is machined from a single piece of T6061 aluminium, thus ensuring the best possible heat dissipation. In addition, advanced thermal management electronics continuously monitor the temperature of the luminaire to keep the light output as high as possible under all conditions.

The Lumonite Slimcore lithium-ion battery supplied with the set offers a running time of over two hours up to 59 hours depending on the power mode used.It can be attached to a belt or even a bike frame with the ingenious Slimholder mount, and the robust aluminium casing protects the cells from impact. The battery has a five-step indicator that shows how much power is left at the touch of a button. Intelligent battery management doesn't turn off the light all at once, but drops the power to a lower level just before the battery is empty - so you won't be left in the dark in any situation.

Does not let you down when the battery is running low

One advanced feature of the Lumonite DX6500 lamp head is that it won't let you run the battery down to full power, even when it's possible. When the battery starts to run low, full power would only be available for a short time, but lower power levels will give you a fair amount more run time. Even after the official burn time is over, the lamp will continue to burn at a low power of around 250 lumens for over half an hour! So this lamp won't leave you in the dark forest with a dead battery!

Quick guide

Using the Lumonite DX series is easy - The lamp is switched on using the button on the top of the lamp. Then pressing the button switches to the next power mode in order Low-med-high. Maximum output is switched on from any power mode by double-pressing the button. In Max mode, double-click to return to the previous mode.
