Second-generation X-tremeVision lamps offer excellent performance and optimal light distribution. Xenon X-tremeVision Gen2 lamps use the most accurate possible arc bending technology tuned to 150-350 µm. Thanks to that, the headlights illuminate the road from exactly the right place without dazzling oncoming road users. The visibility of the peripheral areas is also better, so you can see hazards approaching from the side of the road, such as pedestrians, animals and upcoming junctions earlier. X-tremeVision Gen2 lights meet the demands of even the most demanding drivers by illuminating every bump, curve and hazard even in the most challenging driving conditions. In addition to the high luminous flux and the exceptionally wide and precise light image, the light spectrum is adapted to the eyes' natural sensitivity to light. The lamp's color temperature of 4800 K does not strain the eyes and makes driving in the dark safer and more comfortable.

The lamp's UV quartz glass is stronger than hard glass. It is highly resistant to extreme temperatures and vibrations, which eliminates the risk of explosion. Philips quartz glass lamps (filament 2,650 ºC and glass 800 ºC) withstand sudden temperature changes. Because the UV quartz glass can withstand high internal pressure, the lamp produces a stronger light. Brighter lights ensure a better driving experience even in the weakest ambient light conditions. Philips UV protective coating technology protects the headlights from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Thanks to that, Philips UV-coated quartz glass is suitable for all conditions, and an additional protective layer guarantees a long life of the lamps (up to 2500 hours).
