The Purelux Panther Aero S540 Gen2 is an aerodynamically designed auxiliary light that represents the most popular size of auxiliary light panels in a stylish way. This light combines a modern look with an excellent power-to-size ratio, which together make it one of the best single-row auxiliary lights available. Externally, the panel is understatedly stylish with its dark optics, low-profile design, frameless lens and two-colour parking light (orange and white), but internally it hides an impressive performance for its size. Aero S540:offers two different power modes, meaning it can be set to either a road-legal limited power mode or a full power mode.or the Purelux PowerBoost® mode, which unlocks the power and boosts the light output to 8151 lumens with a measured range of 479 metres @ 1 lux.

Unlike usual, there is no need to connect or disconnect any extra wires to activate the different power modes of the luminaire, but switching to PowerBoost®- and road mode with unprecedented ease at the touch of a button on the top of the luminaire. The last active power mode is stored in the "memory" of the lamp, so you don't need to change the power mode, e.g. for a road test. In road use, you don't have to worry about the lamp always switching on at maximum power when you switch off the power in between and start the car again.

Note! The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly visible in use - PowerBoost® mode is much more powerful and should not be used in normal road driving, only off-road.

The Panther Aero S540 headlamp consists of a rectangular wide main beam, which is the perfect combination of range and width. Thanks to its curved design, the panel spreads light laterally over a very wide area, effectively illuminating roadsides, ditches and wooded areas from the front. In the vertical direction, the beam is softly delimited, making it optimal for bow installations in particular. However, despite the vertically limited beam, there is still enough light for driving on hilly terrain and for roof-mounted applications.

The difference between the curved and the straight Panther Aero is the beam: both models have a sufficient beam to illuminate the entire road from side to side, but the curved panel has a 50% wider main beam, which means that the area effectively illuminated is wider in the curved model. Unlike the other panels in the Panther series, the 54 cm wide lights have a slightly wider total beam in the straight model than in the curved model, purely because there is more lateral diffuse light in the straight panel. So if you are looking for a light that maximizes the effective illuminated area, the curved panel is the better choice, and if you want to maximize the beam spread, the straight panel is better. The curved model also has a straighter beam from the top and bottom, making it a slightly better choice for really low installations.

Apart from the carefully finished beam, another feature that significantly improves the driving experience is the lamp's neutral 5000 kelvin colour temperature. This neutral colour temperature is optimal for road traffic, as it facilitates the perception of terrain and obstacles, for example, and does not reflect the blinding brightness of natural white snow cover into the driver's eyes or distort the colours of the object being pointed at. In addition, the neutral colour temperature works better than cooler shades in poor weather conditions and helps to keep the eye sharp in the seemingly endless darkness. The 5000K colour temperature also works well with newer cars with LED or Xenon lights as standard.

The Panther Aero S540's aerodynamic design, sleek black profile, dark optics and a stunning orange or white parking light at the bottom of the light make it a sophisticated and modern addition to any vehicle. In addition to its spectacular appearance and stunning lighting characteristics, the luminaire is also extremely durable, as demonstrated by its highest possible IP69K waterproof rating. The body is made of powder-coated aluminium, which is treated with a special coating that provides excellent protection against oxidation, the sun's harmful UV rays, varying weather conditions and dirt. The lens of the lamp is made of impact-resistant, high quality Lexan polycarbonate, which resists the inevitable stone chips and branch scratches of driving. The front of the light is perfectly flat, meaning there is no frame around the lens to collect snow, ice or dirt.

The light is supplied with both traditional headrests and width-adjustable rail brackets underneath the light, making it easy to mount the light in different locations. Connection is made easy by the 2-pole DT connector included in the power cable and the separate positive wires for parking lights. The wide operating voltage range (9-36V) allows connection to both 12V and 24V systems, and the light's very moderate reference value (25) allows for easy installation.virtually any standard light without disabling the original lights! Note! You can buy the complete sets above either as they are OR you can also take the XBB OBD Dongle & PowerUnit connection relay (see product options), which allows the led bar to be connected to CAN-bus controlled lights as well. In short, the connection using this relay is carried out by inserting the control device (OBD Dongle) into the car's OBD-II port and replacing the PowerUnit relay with the original relay of the supplied wiring harness. The control device placed in the OBD port catches the high beam signal from the CAN bus and sends the information completely wirelessly to the relay in the wiring harness, which in turn controls the additional light according to this signal.
