Bicycle lamp for electric bicycle Light5 EB2000, Bosch, 2000 lm

Quick guide

We recommend a professional installation of the bicycle light. Installation of external bicycle lighting may affect the warranty of the electric bicycle. On some bicycle models, the lamp's power cable can be installed separately. Contact your local bike shop for more information.

Note! On the Bosch Performance CX Gen4 engine, the lamp is connected to the middle connector of the 3 parallel identical connector pieces.

On the Bosch Performance XC Gen3 engine, the lamp connects to the connector along the top left. On all Bosch engines, the light must also be activated by an authorized service workshop, before the engine supplies power to the connector for the light.

Mounting: If possible, route the power cord inside the frame to protect it from harsh weather and wear. If this is not possible, it is of course just as well to thread it on the outside along the frame. Make sure the cord is secure and cannot get caught in external objects. Connect the motor-specific connection cable to the bicycle's electric motor. Attach the lamp to the bicycle handlebar using the supplied bracket and connect the other end of the connection cable to the lamp.

In the Gen 4 engine, the lamp software must be adapted to the e-bike system the first time it is used, according to the following instructions:

1. Install the light on the handlebar mount and connect the power cable to the electric bike motor.
2. Turn on the power to the electric bicycle so that the light on the control unit's display lights up.
3. Simultaneously press and hold the lamp's power button and the "+" button on the e-bike controller
4. Keep both buttons pressed until the light comes on. Release the button on the controller, but keep the lamp's power button pressed until the lamp turns off.
5. When the lamp is off, release the lamp's power button.
6. The light is now adapted to the electric bike system. You can use the light from the "+" button on the e-bike's controller or from the lamp's power button

• Performance CX Gen 4: In the Bosch Performance CX Gen4 engine, the headlight cable is connected to the middle of the three parallel parallel connectors at the bottom of the connector panel. Some engines have a factory-installed power cable for the front light, in which case the Light5 cable can be replaced, or alternatively the lamp can be connected with a ready-made cable (in this case the connection between the cable and the lamp must be made yourself).
• Performance CX Gen 3: In the Bosch Performance CX Gen3 motor, the front light cable is connected to the four connectors on the top of the motor to the one on the left.

Use: The lamp lights up automatically in daylight mode when the bike is started. The bike light automatically switches to the "daylight" power mode if it senses that the power mode is redundant. The lamp is switched on and off by pressing the switch. The light turns off automatically if the e-bike is stationary for 2 minutes.

By holding down the power switch, the lamp switches between power modes. Release the power switch when the desired power mode is active. Double-clicking the power button activates the flashing power mode. From there, you can switch between flashing power modes0 by holding down the power button further. To return to fixed beam power modes, double-click the power switch again.
